Hi there, I'm Sam. I am a filmmaker born, raised, and based in Chicago IL. I direct music videos, short films, and mini-docs, while also crewing on union television shows and commercials. I am the founder and owner of the production outfit, VRY SRS.

 

I have worked with notable artists Dreamer Isioma, Hatesonny, The Palmer Squares, Probcause, Corn on My Dinner Plate, Case Collective, nombreKari, Skeet Pete, Small Crush, Swatches, Boise Noise, Vic Mensa, Henry Verus, Ally Ahern, Chance the Rapper and DOSO, in various capacities.

My work has been accepted to the CineYouth Film Festival 3 years in a row and has been premiered on MilkXYZ and Booooooom.com. Moonchild, a music video for the artist Hatesonny was featured on Lyrical Lemonades website. In 2021, my co-director and I received best Chicago award for our film "Children Play With Fire," and it was screened at the Chicago International Film Festival.

I aim to bring my unique perspective to content in all forms, and to create a self aware environment where everyone can appreciate one another and laugh at themselves. How can we extract the comedy and drama from our very real pain?
